Everyone posts the castle and the shop. Do this instead: Bute Park from the west gate, not the animal wall queue. Forty minutes under trees. Then the City Arms if you are sitting by half one — after that you stand. Then Cardiff Market before 1, pie stall, cash, no food-court logo wall.

City at 3 if you have a ticket. Clwb is the night if you are staying out. Cardiff Market before 1 is the cheap lunch.
