A High Street crawl: the Murenger, then the river — Tiny Rebel is not on this street

Station to the Usk without a taxi. Cask at the Murenger. Tiny Rebel’s tap is in Rogerstone now.

Start at the Murenger

Off the train, left, and you are in. One cask, not a flight. The front bar is for talking. No sport screens. If County are at home, this is still the walk-past, not the room that puts the match on.

Tiny Rebel is not the next door

The High Street Tiny Rebel shut on 31 March 2024. The brewery tap is at Rogerstone, on the industrial estate, with a kitchen and a glass wall onto the tanks. That is a bus or a drive, not two minutes down High Street. For the crawl: Murenger, then the river path, then decide. File on the Rogerstone bar is separate — hours, Sunday lunch, how you get back.

If you wanted a kitchen

Murenger is pints. For food on this walk you are into the market before it shuts, or you leave the crawl and go to Rogerstone. Do not invent a High Street Tiny Rebel pie. That pie, when they have it, is at the brewery bar.
